We start with a paper on the history behind the genocide that Israel has rolled out against the Palestinians in Gaza, the vital context that is so often missing in mainstream journalistic accounts. It didn't start in the Middle East, but in 19th-century Europe.

We follow up with a moving illustrated report by CAMPAIN committee member, Miranda Pinch, based on her visit to the West Bank in November 2024. Then we have the report of a visit by another CAMPAIN member, Mary, to the West Bank and the Israeli Negev, in March 2025. It is worth reading both these reports, as they complement each other. Miranda provides a pictorial view of the problems Palestinians face, while Mary reports numerous examples of cruel and illegal Israeli behaviour towards Palestinians in the occupied territories and within its own borders. In so doing she gives the lie to myths that Israel has successfully imposed on the world and corrects the idea that the only democracy in the Middle East is truly democratic.
