Antisemitism hoax paved the way to Genocide

If you have not already seen it we strongly recommend watching Richard Sanders’ DoubleDown News video about How the Labour Antisemitism Hoax Paved the way for Genocide.   

Sanders is a leading journalist covering Israel/Palestine and meticulously chronicled an Orwellian smear campaign against Jeremy Corbyn and his supporters in the Al Jazeera documentary The Labour Files broadcast in 2022.

Sanders’ latest video adds further valuable information, describing the ignoble roles played by a series of players (notably the Jewish Labour Movement, John Ware, Rachel Riley, Luciana Berger, Louise Ellman, Margaret Hodge, Ruth Smeeth (now Bs Anderson), Tracy Ann Oberman, John Mann, Ian Austin, James O'Brien, David Mencer and the street-wise hawks Richard Millet and Jonathan Hoffman).

In doing this, he shows how the conflation of anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism and the defamation of the Corbynites paved the way for the current atrocities.

You don't need to be a Corbyn supporter to appreciate the shameful nature of this episode in British history. Whatever Corbyn’s qualities as a prospective Prime Minister, he remains the only PM candidate to ever seek a fair deal for the Palestinians.

Most of all, it gives the lie to the idea that Britain has been a powerless marginal player with little influence over the course of events in the Middle East. If this were the case, Israel and its allies would have devoted little effort to silencing Corbyn and his supporters, and getting them purged from the Labour Party. Israel saw them as potentially frustrating their plans and wanted them out.

This enabled Israel's current campaign of mass murder and ethnic cleansing - the sort of execrable acts described by Chris Gunness, former Chief Spokesman for UNRWA and now Head of the Myanmar Accountability Project, and British surgeon Dr. Nick Maynard. Sanders ends his talk with an important warning to those of the left of British politics, saying that:

if there is one thing we have learned from the genocide, it is that the left must never again uncritically accept allegations of antisemitism.
